synopsis The play shows the last moments in the life of a man who decided to commit self-immolation in front of the Palace of Culture in Warsaw while a meeting with the Soviet Party Officials is held inside. His sacrifice is an act of protest against the regime which is leading the country to destruction. Before he approaches his personal Golgotha, he visits the places and people who mark his stations of the cross. These episodes show the pathetic conditions of the country and the tragic corrupt5ion of the people.
