| synopsis |
The play, which is almost entirely based on the letters of a famous Polish writer Gabriela Zapolska, is an attempt to reconstruct the last two decades of the playwright’s life. It takes a look at her extravagant, impulsive nature, her numerous love-affairs, her marriage with a painter Janowski, and finally her loneliness and death.
