Dorota Maslowska - born 1983 had her literary debut in 2002 with the novel \"Wojna polsko-ruska pod flaga bialo-czerwona\" (English title: \"Snow White and Russian Red\") which received rave reviews and recommendations from several Polish writers (including Jerzy Pilch and Marcin Swietlicki). For her second novel, written in rhymed prose, \"Paw Krolowej\" (English title: \"The Queen’s Peacock/Puke\" – a pun in the original) in 2002 Maslowska received the most important literary award in Poland - the Nike Award. It has been staged several times in Polish theaters. In 2006 she had her drama debut with the play \"Dwoje biednych Rumonow mowiacych po polsku\" (\"A Couple of Poor, Polish Speaking Romanians\"). The play has been staged by Przemyslaw Wojcieszek in Rozmaitosci Theater in Warsaw. Maslowska also used to write column for the weekly magazine Przekroj and book reviews for Wysokie Obcasy (a supplement to the daily Gazeta Wyborcza). Since the beginning of her literary career she has collaborated with the literary magazine \"Lampa\".
